Achieving High Performance – The Missing Link

While opinions regarding the requisite skills, qualities, and behaviors of leaders are diverse, most have one common thread – leadership requires managing relationships. People at all organisation levels are in roles where their performance is measured not only on results, but,on how they manage their relationships with others.

Recent research suggest that relationships, while often considered a “soft” skill, actually play a more direct role in delivering consistent high performance in organisations and teams. New goals, different team members, and changing roles, are realities in today’s workplace. These changes can generate stress, conflict and other relationship issues at all levels of an organisation. Faulty work relationships often result in conflict that impacts every aspect of a business.

Conflict impacts leaders, teams and individuals, and frequently is the underlying cause of the typical issues that arise in today’s work environments. Studies show that more than 65 percent of performance issues result from strained relationships all across the organisation. The greatest cost to organisations is not the lack of knowledge, skills or motivation, but the mismanagement of relationships.

We are able to diagnose the root causes of these issues to enable sustainable change in the way people work with and lead others. Based on powerful yet simple approaches to helping individuals and teams develop the awareness and skills they need to build more effective personal and professional relationships.
